About the position
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for signing partnership agreements between foodpanda and the best-in-class restaurants and shops in Malaysia. They will drive B2B sales, seek and secure new partnerships with vendors, and manage a portfolio of vendors. The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in the food and beverage industry, be outgoing and confident in their appearance, and have the ability to work remotely and under pressure. The role offers a challenging and fulfilling steep learning curve, as well as the opportunity to be a value-adding contributor to this fast-growing global company.
Responsibilities
- Drive B2B sales and secure new partnerships with vendors
- Have a keen interest in the food and beverage industry and sign up the best local and international vendors
- Be the local market expert and provide recommendations for the best restaurants and shops in Malaysia
- Gather feedback from restaurants and shops, monitor competitor activity, and provide recommendations for improvements to management
- Conduct cold calls and walk-ins, schedule in-person meetings, and sell foodpanda services to potential vendors
- Exceed sales targets and performance-based goals while working independently
- Manage a portfolio of vendors, including restaurant and shop accounts, and exceed goals for account retention, development, and maintenance
Requirements
- Successfully completed a Diploma or Bachelor's degree
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply or have at least 3 years of work experience in consulting, e-commerce, or start-up
- Strong management skills: manage and motivate your team in the field
- Flexibility, restaurants do not always operate on 9-to-5 schedules
- Outgoing and confident in their appearance
- Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and under pressure
- Proactive and could lead independent projects
- Excellent English skills complete your profile
- An 'out-of-the-box' thinker and want to constantly challenge the status quo
- Responsible for signing partnership agreements between foodpanda and the best-in-class restaurants and shops

- Passionate and should have a keen interest in the food and beverage industry with a desire to sign up the best local and international vendors
- Be the local market expert: You know the best restaurant & shops in Malaysia and always able to provide recommendations
- Gather both restaurant and shops feedback, monitor competitor activity and provide recommendations for improvements to management
- Be the brand ambassador: Conduct cold calls and walk-ins, schedule in person meetings and sell foodpanda service to potential vendors which include tiptop shops and restaurants in Malaysia
- Exceed sales targets & performance-based goals while working independently
- Manage a portfolio of vendors which includes restaurant & shops accounts and exceed goals for account retention, development, and maintenance.
