Business Control Officer - BCO

The job overview for this role is that the company is seeking an experienced Product Operations Associate to join their team. The associate will be responsible for supporting and owning risk activities within the business, proactively identifying risk areas and implementing remediation activities, creating governance for controls, and providing reports on risks to the leadership team. They will also contribute a risk lens to strategy and product development, conduct process mapping, and coordinate audit and inspection actions. The ideal candidate should have a high level of independence, be hands-on and take ownership, possess strong communication skills, and have knowledge and experience in product and/or risk management.

• Proactively identify risk areas and tackle relevant remediation activities
• Create appropriate governance to facilitate the implementation, execution, and monitoring of controls
• Define and rate the risk environment
• Challenge the design and implementation of controls, implement and own relevant new controls
• Create appropriate reports for the leadership team to understand the full spectrum of risks
• Add a risk lens to strategy and product development
• Drive and complete documentation activities to minimize single point sensitivities
• Conduct process mapping
• Coordinate audit and inspections actions and review/challenge both audit and the business
