Business Application Developer, ServiceNow

The Business Application Developer, ServiceNow is responsible for supporting the development of new user experiences and digital solutions within ServiceNow. They ensure that business applications meet compliance requirements and provide efficient solutions to team members within Corporate IT. The role involves participating in system testing, designing and documenting solutions, and contributing to code reviews. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Support the implementation of new application projects, and provide support for our platforms and business applications, specifically ServiceNow, including upgrades, enhancements, fixes, and features, in collaboration with business SMEs, and team members within Solution Architecture and Business Analysis.

Participate in delivering system testing; configuring, automating, documenting, and performing test cases and test scripts to identify and correct issues or to verify desired functionality.

Design, develop, and document solutions on new platforms and applications, and support the testing of new features and capabilities on existing applications and platforms, providing best practices and analysis to the rest of the team.

Contribute to code reviews, adopting and documenting code and configuration management best practices.

Work in collaboration with your team to deliver projects on Agile methodology.

Act as the technical subject matter expert on some of the ServiceNow Modules such as:

• IT Service Management
• IT Operations Management
• HR Service Delivery
• Strategic Portfolio Management
• Employee Center Pro

Minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration activities for below ServiceNow Modules:

• IT Service Management
• IT Operations Management
• HR Service Delivery
• Strategic Portfolio Management
• Employee Center Pro

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including change management expertise and the ability to translate complex, technical requirements for a non-technical audience.

Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration activities for IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, HR Service Delivery, Strategic Portfolio Management, and Employee Center Pro modules
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including change management expertise and the ability to translate complex, technical requirements for a non-technical audience
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills and the ability to prioritize business requirements appropriately through a collaborative partnership approach
• Ability to anticipate technical implications of decisions on platforms and applications, and proactively plan for the future
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy considerations in systems
• Experience consuming and/or creating APIs
• Experience in designing, configuring, supporting, testing, and implementing enhancements as well as supporting maintenance items for various business applications
• Experience developing test cases and performing all levels of testing and defect management
• Experience with system/data integration
• Experience working with ITOM/CMDB is an asset
• Experience developing with programming languages like C#, Java, PHP, Microsoft.net framework, RESTful and SOAP based API web services and authentication protocols and technologies
• Experience in Web programming (HTML5, Java script/jQuery, JSON, XML, CSS etc.)
• Experience with SQL server / MySQL
