About The Position

The Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) will rapidly and efficiently research, develop, prototype, test, evaluate, procure, transition, and/or field critical enabling technologies and capabilities that address near-term and mid-term threats. The RCCTO will produce or acquire material solutions, consistent with the Army's modernization priorities that maximize Soldiers' capabilities to deploy, fight, and win on future battlefields.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Business Financial Management: Practitioner certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires FM CERTIFICATION LEVEL 3 (FMC03). Selectees must obtain Level 3 certification in the Department of Defense Financial Management program within 24 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to junior analysts.
  • Executes current year and prior year funding through purchase orders, sales orders, Military Inter-Departmental Purchase Requests, and Procurement Work Directives within all active financial databases, to include but not limited to GFEBS and SOMARDS.
  • Monitors Government Purchase Card transactions and Defense Travel System lines of accounting/labels for accuracy and sufficient funding.
  • Identifies the need for reprogramming between budget accounts and/or organizations.
  • Prepares a variety of reports and briefings on the status of funds, obligations, disbursements, organization travel, and resource requirements.
  • Serves as a Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) point of contact for the organization.
  • Develops budget estimates as part of the POM process using historical data from Legacy and current financial management systems, analysis of program requirements, and statutory and regulatory guidance.
  • Coordinates the cleanup and close out of records as measured in the Joint Reconciliation Program.
  • Serves as analyst responsible for conducting and coordinating audits and providing samples.
