This position is responsible for producing the best quality bird for the plant while maintaining low cost and a highly motivated workforce. This requires scheduling birds for processing according to weight in relation to what the plant needs, communicating with the growers, and giving advice on management practices. Additionally, the role involves monitoring various feeding and health programs for broilers, planning boosting schedules for birds to be vaccinated, and monitoring cost reports and plant production metrics such as DOA (Dead on Arrival) rates, comparing them to the previous week's performance. The position also requires working with accounting personnel to ensure the accuracy and status of all broiler settlements. Other duties include meeting with and encouraging broiler technical advisors on a weekly basis, working directly with equipment companies to ensure efficient layout of equipment, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
