About The Position

The Branch Service Representative I is an entry-level position at Southland Credit Union responsible for performing various teller tasks related to member transactions. This role focuses on providing exceptional member service, assisting with account management, and meeting sales and service goals. The representative will report to the Assistant Branch Manager and is expected to maintain high standards of service and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• One year or more of related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• PC proficient with the ability to operate a computer, keyboard, and 10-key calculator.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service and assist members with opening share and certificate accounts.
• Answer questions about products and services and resolve member problems within authority.
• Assist members with financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
• Assess member needs through probing questions and provide solutions with SCU products and services.
• Meet or exceed credit union sales and service goals through the BSR scorecard program.
• Maintain production standards to complete tasks with minimal overtime.
• Ensure adherence to balancing standards and controllable loss guidelines.
• Act as a liaison between members and various organizations and departments.
• Maintain a clean and neat workstation with promotional materials and forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
