About The Position

The shelter program, located in Bethlehem, is a residential program for children and adolescents. The Bilingual Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing direct supervision, support and direction to children and adolescents in a compassionate and respectful manner. This includes providing an unwavering commitment to the safety of kids and being aware of all ongoing developments and concerns on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School graduate or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health or related field preferred.
• 1 year of paid experience working with children.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
• Ability to converse, read and write in English and Spanish.
• Must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and a Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Must pass a Physical & Drug Screening.
• Must attend and successfully complete all KidsPeace sponsored trainings.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health or related field.
