About The Position

The Bilingual Medical Assistant at ACCESS Auburn-Gresham plays a crucial role in delivering quality health services to patients in a community health setting. This position involves collaboration with a skilled care team to assist providers, manage patient inquiries, and perform clinical tasks, all while contributing to the organization's mission of advancing health equity and improving health outcomes for the community.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited entity.
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross with in-person skills training.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience or clinical externship.
• Basic proficiency with EMR (Epic preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a skilled care team to provide quality health services and resources to meet patients' needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Respond to patient questions, return calls, schedule appointments, and review medical records.
• Engage in extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, a leading Electronic Medical Record System.
