The Beverage Steward is generally responsible for completing the following job duties: Provides customer service as defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy. Trains, schedules, and supervises Liquor Clerks to ensure optimum staffing patterns are met in the department. Speak with customers to resolve problems with sales, dissatisfaction with service or product, or other problems related to the operation of the Liquor Department. Face shelf to company standards. Maintain cleanliness of liquor area of the store. Replace stock in displays. Perform daily inventory and order necessary product quantities from vendor. Responsible for accurate inventory procedures to include checking load for shorts and maintaining backroom area. Maintain all paperwork in files. Return excessive product to backroom and inventory and complete BRI. May make signs to indicate price of items on display. Receives payment for customer purchases and counts back correct change. Adheres to Federal, State, local laws. Adheres to safety policies and store rules. Adhere to tobacco and liquor sales policies. Other duties as assigned.
