About The Position

The University of South Alabama's Department of Human Resources is seeking to hire two Benefits/Employee Relations Consultants. These positions are responsible for the day-to-day management of the comprehensive employee benefits program and will work closely with new employees during their onboarding process. The consultants will also assist in managing employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and promoting positive employee relations through effective communication and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field.
  • One year of related professional human resources experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Benefits Administration and/or Employee Relations is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the employee benefits program.
  • Oversee new hire enrollment and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues and investigating complaints.
  • Mediate conflicts and interpret employment policies.
  • Advise management on disciplinary actions and ensure compliance with employment law.
  • Promote positive employee relations through communication and training.
