About The Position

Benefits Department Supervisor - Grow Your Career with Old Republic Title. Are you an experienced benefits professional looking for a leadership role in a well-established company? Do you enjoy overseeing benefits programs, ensuring compliance, and providing guidance to employees? Old Republic Title is seeking a Benefits Department Supervisor to manage key health, welfare, and retirement programs while leading a team of benefits specialists. This position is a hybrid schedule based out of our Minnetonka, MN office.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, and compliance.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience leading a benefits or HR team.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, federal and state leave laws, and benefits regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and experience with HRIS/payroll platforms (Workday, UKG preferred).
  • Excellent communication & leadership skills - Ability to interact with employees, executives, and vendors in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • Detail-oriented & organized - Skilled in managing multiple priorities and ensuring accuracy in compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise & Support the Benefits Team - Provide guidance to Leave Administrators and other team members.
  • Benefits Plan Expertise - Act as a resource for employees and benefit team leaders, interpreting health, welfare, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure Compliance - Oversee ERISA compliance, FMLA administration, and regulatory filings, including ACA reporting and Form 5500s.
  • Annual Enrollment & Pension Support - Coordinate open enrollment materials, assist with pension plan administration, and oversee benefits communications.
  • HRIS & Data Management - Ensure accurate system configurations, compile reports, and analyze data for strategic planning.
  • Financial Oversight - Manage benefit invoices, oversee reconciliation, and report self-funded medical and dental claims.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration - Work with benefits brokers, providers, and internal teams to optimize benefit programs.
