About The Position

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Rebel New Life Treatment Center is responsible for the comprehensive care and well-being of clients receiving services at the facility. This role involves working collaboratively with staff to ensure client safety and effective treatment, including managing admissions, facilitating group sessions, and maintaining the physical environment of the residence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current RADT certification
• CPR certification
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
• Experience in the substance abuse/mental health care field is preferred
• Basic computer knowledge and skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to supervisors, other staff members and clients
• Proficient in multi-tasking and time management
• Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment

Nice To Haves

• KIPU experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete the admissions process, including intake during evening and weekend hours.
• Communicate all client concerns and notify appropriate staff members.
• Knowledge and experience in medication management including self-administration of medications.
• Facilitate client groups and adhere to the group schedule.
• Complete and forward any incident reports, and any other safety/risk issues immediately to Program Director/Clinical Director.
• Transport clients to and from appointments, meetings, outings and other pre-authorized destinations when applicable.
• Check vitals, CIWA - COWS make rounds, and document as necessary.
• Effectively address any unsafe and concerning matters regarding client care or the physical condition of the residence.
• Maintain the physical residence by cleaning and organizing the residential/clinical facilities.
• Communicate any unsafe or maintenance repairs to supervisors.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff.
• Redirect clients in a respectful manner when necessary.
• Ensure that the day to day responsibilities are adhered to on a daily basis.
