About The Position

The Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) at Buena Vida Integrated Pain Clinic provides a range of services including crisis management, mental health assessment, counseling services, and coordination of care to patients. The BHP coordinates behavioral health care with the medical and behavioral health teams, promoting collaboration to ensure whole health care delivery. Responsibilities include delivering interventions consistent with the clinic setting, assessing patients' mental health conditions, and facilitating referrals to specialized providers. The BHP also maintains accurate electronic patient records and develops treatment plans tailored to patient needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health field (social work, counseling, psychology).
  • Arizona Licensed Behavioral Health Professional; current, valid and in good standing.
  • Three years' post-graduate clinical experience in behavioral health or related settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years' working experience in community health centers or behavioral health settings.
  • Experience working with patients who have chronic pain.
  • Experience in a trauma-informed environment.
  • Independently Licensed in Arizona as a Behavioral Health Professional.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to communicate in both languages.

Responsibilities

  • Provides focused quality clinical services appropriate to model of care and patient's presenting health and behavioral concerns.
  • Utilizes a variety of intervention and psychotherapeutic approaches to improve psychosocial functioning.
  • Assesses patient's mental/behavioral health conditions using relevant screening tools.
  • Promotes collaboration between medicine and behavioral health care.
  • Provides on-site crisis assessment, triage, and intervention.
  • Maintains accurate electronic patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Develops patient treatment plans with reasonable, attainable goals.
  • Attends behavioral health and medical provider meetings.
  • Contributes to team effort and complies with facility policies.
  • Establishes collaborative relationships with medical/behavioral health teams.
  • Provides education to the team regarding behavioral health assessment and intervention.
  • Maintains a clean and hygienic work environment.
