About The Position

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in Wayzata is seeking a highly skilled Band and Choir Teacher. In addition to teaching band grades 4-6, this teacher will help plan and direct school concerts and teach general music classes, if needed, as assigned. The band position includes weekly student lessons and two all band practices/rehearsals. Also, the teacher will be responsible for choir practices and school liturgy music. This full-time position will guide and challenge students in subject matter and skills in a manner consistent to our Holy Name of Jesus School and Parish Mission Statements. This is a full time, 10-month position with benefits. Candidates seeking a part-time position are also invited to inquire.

Requirements

• Minnesota certification required
• Current teaching licensure in area
• Required number of renewal credits for certificate renewal
• Appropriate educational experiences
• Ability to pass a required background check
• Completion of required initial training
• Must be Catholic

Responsibilities

• Teach band for grades 4-6
