Backend Engineer

Melio is a fintech company that aims to digitize the B2B payments process for small businesses. Their solution has made them one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in 2021. The company uses AWS Serverless for their infrastructure and combines the usage of relational and document dbs. They are looking for a software engineer with more than 7 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and design, who is a team player and passionate about learning. Melio is expanding and is an equal-opportunity employer.

• Build and maintain the backend infrastructure of Melio, including the payments engine, risk management, and data infrastructure groups
• Orchestrate the flow of funds between businesses both inside the US and internationally
• Work closely with Data Science to build fraud detection, eligibility services, money losses prevention, and more
• Integrate with as many third parties as possible to gather enrichments for the risk and compliance teams and help find leads for the sales team
• Have at least 7 years of professional experience as a software engineer in software engineering, architecture, and design
• Have experience with microservices architecture and running cloud-based production environments
• Be a team player who prefers collaboration over working solo
• Be passionate about technology and willing to learn and get out of the comfort zone
• Contribute to improving a strong and open culture at Melio.
