About The Position

The AWS Infrastructure Engineer position involves leading systems administration activities to support the development and delivery of innovative systems for analytics, exploitation, production, and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies. The role requires building Windows instances, performing deployments across various environments, and collaborating with internal and external teams.

Requirements

• Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain & maintain a Polygraph post-hire.
• BS degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance.
• Experience with cloud/Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
• System design and architecture experience.
• Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
• Proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience deploying GIS, specifically ESRI ArcGIS systems.
• Experience with various AWS capabilities and services.
• Experience writing and maintaining architecture diagrams.
• Proven troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both virtual and in person.
• Familiarity with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat).
• Microsoft and/or AWS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems administration activities for building and delivering new systems.
• Build Windows instances and perform deployments to multiple environments.
• Patch and troubleshoot systems as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external development teams.
• Work with enterprise components to ensure system functionality.
