TDS has embarked on a multi-year digital transformation of Global Transaction Banking in order to position the bank as a leading North American franchise in the respective businesses, with aspiration to grow business globally. This role presents an opportunity to leverage deep industry expertise in delivery technology transformation in this business area, and to lead the definition of strategy, socialize and syndicate the business case and build-out of the next-generation technology solutions to support TDS businesses as we grow and take market share in GTB. This is an executive role with responsibility to lead and execute the technology delivery strategy that is a critical enabler of the future business growth, as well as future-proofing the existing material corporate client businesses. The AVP/MD Core Banking/Ledger Technology leads/oversees a diverse team of IT professionals (e.g. Development, Support teams and/or Business Systems Analysts. Technology Project Managers, etc.,) and is the key interface with the business executive team / internal partners and key stakeholders in assessing scope, planning and delivering the most optimal end to end technology solution or service by effectively managing resources / services and support as well as relevant costs to enable business strategies.

  • Accountable executive for delivering technology and transformation for GTB's Ledger modernization, Core Banking, Financial Institution services and Trade Finance.
  • Develops technology work direction and oversees the end to end delivery of technology solutions or services for a key business portfolio / segment or enterprise area.
  • Responsible for project delivery for the set of application in their scope, commissioning projects to be executed by assigned Project Managers.
  • Oversees broad and diverse functional teams of IT professionals / specialized resources to deliver appropriate and optimal solutions.
  • Acts as the primary Technology liaison / relationship management partner by working closely with business management / leadership teams.
  • Ensures strong communication, stakeholder / partner management and client relationships are maintained.
  • Manages day to day project activities for multiple resources and oversees delivery from multiple capability teams.
  • Partners with clients/ businesses in developing business cases, RFI/RFP, contracts, service level agreements, etc.
  • Assists in the assessment of the scope and risk of projects and provides input into development of project plans.
  • Works closely with management teams to ensure a seamless work in-take and delivery of client requests.
  • Understands LOB Stakeholders' background and the stated / unstated expectations of the program.
  • Liaises with internal cross functional technology partner in delivery and improvement of services.
  • Provides regular status review of all ongoing development, and project activities.
  • Participates in segment business strategy and business planning.
  • Sets direction and oversees a significant and diverse group/mix of technology professionals.
  • Generally involved in overseeing large complex technology projects, system enhancements /applications.
  • Accountable for a significant and sizeable budget for either ongoing maintenance and/or new developments.
  • Manages a diverse range of IT professionals typically through a management team.
  • College degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years related experience.
