About The Position

The Automotive Diagnostic Technician at Blackbear Automotive is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting a variety of vehicle issues, including engine performance, electrical systems, and other critical components. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to work with modern diagnostic tools to ensure accurate and efficient repairs. The technician will collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to provide high-quality service to customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician or in a similar diagnostic role.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• ASE certification (or equivalent) is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Perform thorough diagnostics on vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.

• Stay current with industry trends, automotive technologies, and repair techniques.
• Maintain accurate repair and service records in compliance with company standards.
• Provide support and guidance to other technicians when necessary.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean and organized work area.
