Under the direct supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Automation Controls Engineer will support and assist the Engineering Department. This is a full-time salaried exempt position.
Design and implementation of PLC based automated process control for new production systems.
System start-up support.
Establishing, implementation of, and maintaining Preventive Maintenance programs for all new and existing process control and instrumentation systems.
Maintaining all plant process control and instrumentation systems.
Establishing, implementation of, and maintaining a Data Acquisition program for all new and existing systems.
Project Management.
Develop and design electrical and controls system schematics and drawings based on engineering principles using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
Ability to read, interpret and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control systems.
On-call position, may require working nights and weekends.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Thorough knowledge of industrial process control and instrumentation.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs in buildings.
Requires ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and pushing.
Ability to work outdoors throughout the year in extreme temperatures.
