Requirements

  • Doctorate degree & 7 years of product management experience OR Master's degree & 10 years of product management experience OR Bachelor's degree & 12 years of product management experience.
  • 7 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration (MBA), Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Product Management (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, AIPMM, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager).
  • 12 or more years in product management, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Digital Transformation Expertise driving digital innovation and managing digital product portfolios.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the industry (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, technology).
  • Experience managing large-scale product portfolios or leading multi-regional teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the industry.
  • Ability to define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analytical skills with experience in leveraging data, KPIs, and insights to guide product strategies.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and manage executive-level relationships.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Understanding of digital technologies, platforms, and tools relevant to product management.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and define the strategy for digital product management.
  • Lead the charge in architecting the future of how Amgen builds and delivers technology.
  • Own the implementation of the digital product operating model across technology and AI & data organizations.
  • Drive improvements to executional velocity, impact, and budgetary ROI across the technology and AI portfolio.
  • Own the full lifecycle of a diverse digital product portfolio, establishing KPIs and measurement systems.
  • Prioritize product development balancing innovation with business impact.
  • Be the connective tissue between business, tech, design, and operations.
  • Lead product development through modern Agile practices.
  • Establish clear product launch and lifecycle management policies to ensure compliance.
