About The Position

The Associate Underwriter - Casualty will work in a team setting underwriting and servicing renewal accounts for the development and retention of our Casualty Lines business. The role involves production and underwriting of new and renewal account business, compliance with underwriting documentation rules and guidelines, and maintaining an acceptable underwriting profit. The Associate Underwriter will advance to Admiral underwriting guidelines and referral compliance, develop and maintain key broker/agent relationships, participate in all internal company training and continuing education, remain current on product releases as it pertains to Professional, and attend strategic marketing calls to key brokers. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Completed coursework toward a Risk Management and Insurance Degree is a plus.
• Prior work experience in Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance industry(s) preferable.
• Applicable coursework toward attainment of a CPCU designation desired.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical proficiency is required.
