About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering or related scientific discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of scientific instruments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills in a technology-enabled environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer programming experience is a plus but not required.
  • Team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple robotic platforms as part of the Core Automation team.
  • Provide support for compound management workflows including plate generation, screening, and quality control for liquid handling instruments.
  • Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot robotic arms, liquid handlers, plate readers, and peripheral lab devices.
  • Diagnose hardware and software faults, performing hands-on troubleshooting, repairs, and calibrations for laboratory automation platforms.
  • Coordinate with asset management teams, scientific leaders, and external vendors to implement remediation plans and ensure repairs are completed.
  • Interface with biologists, engineers, and IT staff to develop and optimize automated workflows.
  • Re-establish stalled automation runs and log system/instrument performance, performing quantitative analysis of quality control data.
