Kulik Gottesman Siegel & Ware LLP is a full-service law firm that handles complex legal matters for many different types of clients, from individuals and small businesses to a variety of Fortune 500 companies, insurance carriers, entrepreneurial enterprises and non-profit organizations. The firm concentrates on litigation and general counsel work involving real property owners, homeowners associations and businesses. Requirements

  • 2-3 years of solid litigation experience.
  • Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Fully licensed with CA Bar admission.
  • Experience drafting and editing pleadings, briefs and written discovery.
  • Experience preparing for and conducting depositions, and preparing for trial is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and respond to written discovery.
  • Prepare for and take/defend depositions.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other court proceedings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions and other court filings.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and the managing attorney(s) to understand the client’s concerns and provide sound legal advice.
  • Analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and research case law, statutes, regulations, and documents impacting the firm’s clients.
  • Strong written and critical thinking skills that lead to comprehensive and persuasive writings.
  • Communicate clearly and logically (both orally and in writing) with clients, courts, and other counsel.
  • Organize and manage documents from multiple sources in the course of multi-district and other complex litigation.
  • Ability to handle complex problems utilizing initiative, creativity, and sound professional judgment.
  • Work both independently and as a contributing team member.
