About the position
We are seeking a full-time Associate HR Business Partner for the Specialized Salt Lake City Distribution Center. This role involves partnering with managers to resolve employee/performance issues, supporting change management initiatives, acting as an advisor to the business, and maintaining HR systems. The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of HR practices and regulations and be able to provide support and guidance to teammates throughout the employment lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Partner with managers to resolve employee/performance issues, escalating complex or safety concerns to SLC HR Manager.
- Support change management initiatives such as implementing new policies.
- Support communications for local updates and announcements.
- Act as an advisor to the business by identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions that align with overall P&C goals.
- Field teammate inquiries as a trusted advocate.
- Maintain and update talent acquisition and HRIS systems; processing teammate data changes in Workday and job-related items in Greenhouse as needed.
- Manage routine processes and regulatory requests such as kicking off Leave of Absences, responding to unemployment claims, and documenting Workers’ Compensation incidents.
- Support screening and applicant selection process with hiring managers.
- Assist in tracking headcount targets.
- Partner with the Distribution Onboarding Lead to assist in any onboarding functions or process improvements.
- Ensure new teammates thoroughly understand Workday functionality, benefit offerings, and teammate perks.
- Complete personal information tasks such as the Form I-9 in Workday, ensuring legal compliance and teammate privacy.
- Run employee reports as needed for a variety of stakeholders.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of HR practices and regulations
- Ability to objectively assess subjective situations and find fair resolutions
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Intrinsic drive to deliver high quality and quantity deliverables
- Ability to impact the teammate experience throughout the employment lifecycle
- Ability to partner with managers to resolve employee/performance issues
- Knowledge of change management initiatives and policy implementation

- Proficiency in talent acquisition and HRIS systems (Workday and Greenhouse)
