Associate Educator, Web Developer

BrainStation is seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead the delivery of their 12-week Diploma program in Web Development through online and in-person teaching. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a web engineering role, deep expertise working with core web technologies, and experience teaching/mentoring others. The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for co-creating BrainStation's full-time Web Development Program and researching new content to teach the most up-to-date skills in development to students.

• Teach the 12-week Web Development Diploma program
• Deliver lectures and mentor students in building projects using cutting-edge technologies
• Co-create BrainStation's full-time Web Development Program
• Write and research new content to teach up-to-date development skills
• Apply BrainStation's "Agile Education" methodologies to continuously improve the educational experience
• Improve own skills and collaborate with other BrainStation Educators to build digital platform and tools for delivering educational material
• Define the education experience of the future

• 2+ years experience in a web engineering role
• Deep expertise working with core web technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience or a familiarity with React, Node/Express, and databases (relational and MongoDB)
• Strong public speaking abilities
• Experience teaching/mentoring others
• A self motivated, empathetic, and approachable demeanor
• A proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
