About The Position

The Associate Director of Software Development of Product Analytics at Verizon is responsible for leading the development of a data analytics platform for consumer products. This role involves managing a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement software solutions, data engineering, and data science applications, including machine learning and generative AI. The position requires collaboration with product stakeholders and executive leadership to define the analytics roadmap and ensure timely delivery of projects while staying updated with the latest trends in data analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Eight or more years of relevant experience in data science, data analysis, machine learning, and statistics.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
• Experience with big data technologies and data analysis software like R or MATLAB.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or similar technologies.
• Expertise in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
• Experience with data warehousing, data processing, and mining tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to natural language processing (NLP) and image processing techniques.
• Experience with popular machine learning and GenAI platforms such as Amazon SageMaker and GPT4.
• A postgraduate degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement the data analytics platform.
• Working with product and business stakeholders, and executive leadership to gather requirements and define the analytics roadmap.
• Delivering the roadmap on time, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and making improvements.
• Collaborating with partner organizations to integrate the platform with other systems to enrich data and provide holistic insights.
• Staying current with the latest trends in data analytics and ensuring the platform uses the latest technologies.
• Developing and implementing large data machine learning and GenAI models to predict customer behavior and network performance.
• Analyzing large and complex datasets to identify trends and patterns that impact home networking performance.
