About The Position

Requirements

• Demonstrated excellence in litigation of labor and employment matters in State and Federal Courts and Administrative Tribunals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle labor and employment related litigation and non-litigation matters within the MTA Consolidated Legal Department.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to management and various departments at the MTA regarding employment practices, discrimination, and civil rights issues.
• Review materials relating to civil service examinations and coordinate with the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services.
• Work independently and under pressure to advise and recommend actions that protect MTA's interests.
• Develop and build strong business connections in the employment and human resources field.
