About The Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting implementation of environmental programs for compliance with laws and regulations as applicable to the upstream and midstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. This position works closely and in conjunction with operations staff and other environmental staff. The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: spill and remediation support; review of environmental incidents internally and externally as required; air compliance support through the use of internal applications and data sources, site inventories, site diagram development, and support compliance inspections and audits. Assist operations personnel in implementation of environmental stewardship practices for the division and assist with environmental training preparation and attendance. This position must develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable regulations. We are looking for a self-motivated, hard-working team player who pays close attention to detail. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working alone while being fully capable of working within a team and interdisciplinary setting. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Travel may be required to Divisional, Corporate, or field offices.
