The Department of Animal and Natural Sciences at SUNY Cobleskill seeks a talented and innovative Biologist to join the faculty team as an Assistant Professor. This is a 10-month teaching appointment which will be responsible for teaching biology courses, academic advisement for undergraduate students, and service to the college, university, and broader community. The Animal and Natural Sciences department enrolls over 500 students and offers hands-on coursework for experiential education. Offering both associate and bachelor's degree programs, SUNY Cobleskill seeks applicants committed to applied learning who enjoy teaching a variety of courses and working with diverse learners. The incumbent is expected to bring specialized expertise in Biology to the instructional programs of the department. The incumbent will also work with other faculty, instructional support professionals, and administration to assess Biology curriculum in an effort to continually improve the academic product for students. Tenure-track expectations include mentorship of student clubs/organizations, providing students with high-quality academic advisement, and partnering with relevant external organizations. Faculty are also expected to produce scholarly work, and engage with professional development and revenue enhancement efforts.
