About The Position

The Outbound Assistant Manager at WebstaurantStore plays a crucial role in overseeing the shipping department within a large distribution center. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operations leadership.
• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of day-to-day operations within the Outbound department, including Picking, Consolidation, Packing, and QA.
• Train, coach, develop, and hold accountable employees to achieve operational metrics.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for the receiving department and resolve operating issues as needed.
• Provide clear communication to all teams regarding company policies and procedures.
• Lead weekly and monthly meetings to review metrics, areas of improvement, and employee relations issues.
• Analyze opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost reduction, and process efficiency.
• Ensure timely completion of employee performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote employee engagement and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to meet the needs of the distribution center and foster a team mentality.
• Create development plans for employees to maintain engagement and develop leadership skills.
