About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Brentwood Health Care Center plays a crucial role in overseeing the nursing department within a high-volume rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. This position involves planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations, ensuring quality patient care, and fostering a cohesive nursing team. The ADON will also be responsible for maintaining accurate clinical records and participating in the recruitment and selection of nursing staff.

Requirements

• RN License
• Skilled Nursing supervisory experience
• High level of clinical hands-on experience
• Knowledge of skilled nursing regulations
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day nursing department.
• Supervise nursing staff to meet facility goals and objectives.
• Develop a cohesive nursing team by leading, educating, and supporting staff.
• Oversee maintenance and accuracy of residents' clinical records.
• Assist in recruitment and selection of new nursing staff members.
• Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care and the effectiveness of systems within the facility.
• Ensure that quality patient care is provided at all times.
• Conduct daily resident and hall rounds to assess staff performance and evaluate needs and concerns.
• Function as a charge nurse if necessary.
