About The Position

The Program Administrator at Elwyn is responsible for overseeing the administrative and supervisory functions of two residential homes for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, and coordinating care and services for residents. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a commitment to the well-being of the individuals served.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in administering residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Valid CA driver's license required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Computer skills are necessary.
  • Completion of DOJ and FBI fingerprint and criminal clearance and health screening including a TB test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with budgeting and financial management in a residential setting.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Overall administrative and supervisory responsibility for two 962 residential homes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal licensing requirements.
  • Report any suspicion of abuse in accordance with the law and program policies.
  • Coordinate SB 962/853 program with Regional Center and DDS.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and therapeutic environment for all individuals served.
  • Implement health care plans and ensure adherence to Elwyn policies and procedures.
  • Hire, staff, and evaluate employees.
  • Train staff and coordinate ancillary services such as PT and OT.
  • Manage budgeting and survey compliance, including writing and implementing plans of correction.
  • Select vendors and manage purchasing processes.
  • Plan programs and manage case coordination.
  • Maintain communication with Executive Director, families, and regional center.
  • Be on-call for operational responsibilities.
