About The Position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned business transient/group/catering goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new accounts as well as maintaining existing clients/groups. The Area Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Regional Director of Sales to achieve the hotel's revenue and market share goals for the SpringHill Suites Council Bluffs, IA.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Customer service focused while managing multiple tasks and being organized.
  • Creative thinker who is solution oriented and possesses strong negotiating skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals
  • Clear understanding of the hotels' business operations, brand, and revenue strategies.
  • Proactively conduct solicitation calls, prospect, generate contracts and conduct sales tours.
  • Maintain accounts, contacts, activity, and business details using Delphi.fdc/Amadeus.
  • Clear understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools.
  • Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.
  • Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable.
  • Assist with the creation of annual Sales & Marketing plans.
  • Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.
