About The Position

Mastercard's Government Affairs team has a collaborative relationship with the Tufts University Fletcher School. Each year, we welcome 2-3 Masters candidate students from Tufts to work with us. This work can include research projects or other relevant deliverables. The role involves supporting the Global Cybersecurity Policy team and facilitating cross-functional team coordination with key internal stakeholders. The candidate will conduct research and analysis to advance strategic public policy and advocacy objectives, draft briefing memos, talking points, advocacy materials, and other preparation materials to support senior leadership, and participate in other ad-hoc team activities as needed.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a Masters candidate at the Tufts University Fletcher School.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Interest in public policy, cybersecurity, and advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Support the Global Cybersecurity Policy team.
• Facilitate cross-functional team coordination with key internal stakeholders.
• Conduct research and analysis to advance strategic public policy and advocacy objectives.
• Draft briefing memos, talking points, advocacy materials, and other preparation materials to support senior leadership.
