About The Position

IRISNDT is seeking a full-time Resident API Inspector to conduct inspections and assessments of critical infrastructure, including pipelines, pressure vessels, and storage tanks. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, preparing detailed inspection reports, and collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams. The position offers opportunities for career growth and requires certifications in API 510/570, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience working with API 510 and/or 570 certifications.
• API 510 and/or 570 certification required.
• Valid Driver's License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment background checks will be required.

Nice To Haves

• API 653 certification would be considered an asset.
• Additional API certifications would be considered an asset.
• Certifications in NDT methods (MT/PT/UTT) would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily maintenance inspections for pipelines, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and other critical infrastructure.
• Perform internal and external inspections based on industry standards like API 510, API 570, and API 653.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, defects, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Identify potential risks and hazards based on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to detect subsurface or surface defects and interpret results.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and safety protocols during inspections.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and management to develop inspection schedules and action plans.
• Track and monitor equipment performance over time and recommend improvements in inspection processes.
