About The Position

The Analytical Chemist will play a crucial role in supporting manufacturing and regulatory needs through innovative analytical chemistry and methodology. This position involves running HPLC, developing and validating new methods, and ensuring compliance with stability guidelines. The role is situated within a collaborative Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) environment, focusing on analytical research and development.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in HPLC
  • Experience in method development and validation
  • Knowledge of GC, FTIR, UV-Vis highly preferred
  • Experience with GMP and laboratory procedures
  • Handling potent and toxic materials
  • At least 2 years of experience in relevant fields, excluding majority experience in cannabis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with peptides and amino assays is highly valued
  • Experience with small molecules
  • Candidates from Quality Control (approx. 2-3 years) are considered

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of new processes by applying analytical skills and training.
  • Facilitate and support analytical technology transfers.
  • Plan and formulate aspects of analytical research and development proposals, including objectives, applications, cost, equipment, and human resource requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and validate analytical methods and procedures.
  • Keep accurate records and document experiments.
  • Support the Stability Program by understanding internal, corporate, and ICH stability guidelines.
  • Engage in manufacturing site activities such as troubleshooting and resolving analytical problems.
  • Develop an understanding of Quality, Environmental, Health, & Safety (QEH&S) principles and regulatory affairs.
  • Analyze batches of drug substances, intermediates, and raw materials for clinical or registration programs.
  • Properly manage the generation and accumulation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
