About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and administration of financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities within the company. This role involves collaboration with the Finance team and Executive members to develop the annual corporate budget, deliver value-added analysis, and manage financial metrics that drive business decisions. The analyst will also integrate corporate and business area financial data and report on established financial metrics regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • 5-7+ years of work experience in accounting/financial analysis.
  • Previous responsibility for analyzing revenue, expenses, and gross/operating profit margin.
  • Minimum of three (3) years accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience collaborating with international parent or affiliate companies is a plus.
  • Ability to use a personal computer utilizing spreadsheet and word processing software applications, databases, and automated systems.
  • Proficient in using business management applications software (MS Office) including Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong competency in HFM is a plus.
  • Skilled in use of financial analysis software.
  • Proficient in ERP systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial modeling and advanced reporting in Excel.
  • Knowledge of budget development and cost management/activity analysis.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong analytical, administrative, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support key business planning, forecasting and budgeting process, as well as monthly and quarterly analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and business analysis, reporting, process improvement and simplification.
  • Build financial models and manipulate data to understand complex business relationships and evaluate trade-offs.
  • Perform continuous improvement of financial reporting and analysis through enhancing data structure design.
  • Analyze price, volume, mix, inflation, manufacturing costs, productivity and other metrics influencing growth and profitability.
  • Develop/maintain financial models for new product development projects.
  • Support new business processes by reviewing financial impact and funding ROI decisions.
  • Analyze and extract insights from complex data; communicate concisely to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of monthly business forecasts and explanations.
  • Collaborate with functional leads to support and drive action plans for process improvement and automation.
  • Participate in monthly close process ensuring timely and quality output.
  • Manage consolidation and analysis of financial projections across multiple functions.
  • Manage internal financial reporting and monitor reporting improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate business area reporting and financial data integration through data warehouse.
  • Support departments with reporting and analysis on P&L variance, spending, CapEx management, etc.
  • Perform monthly financial analysis for each business segment on key metrics and financial drivers.
  • Ensure financial material from teams is properly vetted and key issues discussed.
  • Assist with management reviews through preparation of monthly financial material outlining performance versus budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Support review and development of presentation material for executive meetings.
  • Responsible for monthly management reporting including segment reports, department reports, and business variance analysis.
  • Provide monthly business updates and financial results to corporate executives.
