About the position
Aspinity is seeking highly skilled Analog/Mixed-signal IC Design Engineers to join their team in developing ultra-low-power, high-performance analog/mixed-signal IP blocks and ICs. The role involves designing, implementing, and productizing silicon-based analog/mixed-signal IP blocks and ICs, as well as collaborating with the analog signal processor core team and application developers. The company's novel analog machine learning solution aims to revolutionize the analysis of sensor data, enabling developers to extract "sense" from sensors before digitization, reducing power consumption and focusing compute resources on relevant information. Join Aspinity in building this new analogML framework and contribute to the transformation of industries through new monitoring capabilities and user interface paradigms.
Responsibilities
- Work with the analog signal processor core team to design and implement new and upgraded IP and IC solutions based on Aspinity's advanced technology
- Schematic-design, layout, verification, and laboratory-characterization of ICs
- Work with silicon foundries, manage qualification and high-volume production-testing of ICs
- Work with application developers to co-architect and co-develop ultra-low-power hardware and software systems
Requirements
- BSEE degree and 8+ years of experience or an MS degree and 6+ years of experience or a PhD and 3+ years of experience
- Strong background in high-performance, low-power analog and mixed-signal design, at both IC and board-level
- Hands-on experience with schematic-design, layout, verification, and laboratory-characterization of ICs
- Experience working with silicon foundries and managing qualification and high-volume production-testing of ICs
- Ability to work with the analog signal processor core team to design and implement new and upgraded IP and IC solutions
- Collaboration with application developers to co-architect and co-develop ultra-low-power hardware and software systems
Benefits
- Competitive salary and compensation package
- Opportunity to work with advanced technology in IC solutions
- Involvement in schematic-design, layout, verification, and laboratory-characterization of ICs
- Collaboration with silicon foundries and management of qualification and high-volume production-testing of ICs
- Co-architecting and co-developing ultra-low-power hardware and software systems with application developers
- Strong background in high-performance, low-power analog and mixed-signal design
- Hands-on experience in system-level design
- Proven track record of taking multiple mixed-signal ICs from concept to production
- Experience with silicon manufacturers and various CMOS process technologies
- Proficiency in system and behavioral modeling using Matlab, SystemVerilog, Verilog-A/AMS
- Experience in sensor application areas such as audio/voice, vibration monitoring, touch/proximity, biosensing, electric/magnetic fields
