About the position
Addepar is seeking a candidate for the role of Alternatives Data Ops, responsible for reviewing and processing Private Funds documents to ensure accurate and timely data availability on the Addepar platform. The role involves troubleshooting processing exceptions, modifying extracted data, engaging with clients and data providers, and onboarding new clients. The successful candidate should have a strong background in the financial investment/advisory industry, excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. This role plays a critical part in the success of Addepar's Alternatives offering and requires collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage Alternatives Data processing for Addepar clients, including troubleshooting Private Fund statements processing exceptions, modifying incorrectly extracted document data, and engaging with clients, GPs, or Fund Admins on statement data inquiries.
- Onboard new clients and establish the ownership structure of clients' Private Fund positions within Addepar.
- Help maintain Alternatives Data Operations workflow procedures and play-books.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to implement new processes and tooling features that improve Alternatives Data processing UX and increase operational workflow efficiency.
- Have 2+ years of work experience in the financial investment/advisory industry with strong knowledge of capital markets and middle/back-office operations systems.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, data providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Be highly self-motivated to take on responsibility.
Requirements
- 2+ years of work experience in the financial investment/advisory industry with strong knowledge of capital markets, middle/back-office operations systems, and preferably with experience dealing with Alternatives (Private/Draw-down) Funds reporting statements and data.
- Excellent attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging clients, data providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated and responsible.
