AI Research Scientist

Phaidra is seeking a Research Scientist to lead their efforts in developing novel algorithmic architecture for intelligent control systems in the industrial sector. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a technical field and expertise in areas such as reinforcement learning, deep learning, control theory, or multi-agent RL. Responsibilities include designing and evaluating models, reporting research findings, participating in collaborative projects, and mentoring research engineers. The successful candidate will have a passion for AI and a track record of publications. This is a remote position with a competitive salary range and equity opportunities.

• Design, implement and evaluate models, agents and software prototypes of perceptual processing.
• Report and present research findings and developments internally and externally, verbally and in writing.
• Participate in and organize collaborative research projects.
• Work with external collaborators and maintain relationships with relevant research labs and key individuals.
• Mentor and guide Research Engineers to apply research findings and developments to industrial domains.

• PhD in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated knowledge in one of the following: Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Control Theory, Multi-Agent RL
• Extensive research in the fields of {ModelBased, Batch, Safe} RL methods
