About The Position

Acromil LLC, a primary supplier in the Aerospace and Defense industry since 1959, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer / Planner. The selected individual will perform various duties including preparing manufacturing process instruction sheets, planning manufacturing phases, and developing visual aid work instructions. The role involves analyzing engineering design releases, developing traveler and process sheets, and preparing costing for new projects. The individual will also act as a liaison between different departments and coordinate various aspects of manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years planning experience preferably in manufacturing with metal fabrication and machining background.
  • Proficient in interpreting complex engineering drawings.
  • Efficient math skills.
  • Knowledge of materials used in aerospace (stainless, nickel, titanium, aluminum, etc.).
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (assembly, welding, machining, forming, inspection, cleaning, heat-treating).
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP process applications, Excel spreadsheets, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of CATIA (computer-aided three-dimensional interactive application).
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares original manufacturing process instruction sheets and outlines.
  • Plans manufacturing phases and process steps necessary to fabricate including repair, rework and revision of Company products.
  • Prepares and completes planning documents to assure economical and efficient production.
  • Develops visual aid work instructions and lean processes.
  • Studies existing production methods for improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoots manufacturing processes.
  • Acts as Liaison between Engineering/NC Programming/Manufacturing/Program Management.
  • Analyzes engineering design releases and develops traveler and process sheets.
  • Incorporates engineering change orders and planning changes.
  • Prepares rework planning.
  • Prepares planning drafts and checks documents for accuracy.
  • Develops costing for new projects, including multi-level bill of materials.
  • Compiles information to cost components and assemblies.
  • Serves as SPC Coordinator, Tooling Coordinator, and FOD Coordinator.
