About The Position

The Risk Advisory Paraprofessional will be responsible for supporting the Risk Advisory department's standard audit processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects. This position also involves administrative duties to support the advisory department.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Two (2) or more years of industry related experience, preferred in a professional services firm
• Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required

Nice To Haves

• Associate or Bachelor degree, preferred
• Project management experience, preferred
• Prior experience with various assurance applications and research tools, preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops and applies an intermediate knowledge of internal audit and accounting theory, a sense of audit skepticism, and the use of BDO audit manuals.
• Applies basic knowledge and understanding of GAAP & GAAS.
• Participates in engagements by planning the appropriate processes and procedures.
• Provides various support functions to the audit staff during an engagement.
• Meets internal deadlines to match the client expectations for timely delivery of service.
• Provide support in the development/review stages for professional deliverables.
• Completes appropriate documentation of BDO work papers.
• Seeks advice regarding issues and problems relating to engagements.
• Supports regional leader and management in managing various administrative functions.
• Applies application of BDO standards to ensure assigned work is performed in accordance with BDO methodology and requirements.
• Other duties as required
