About The Position

The position involves providing comprehensive pulmonary care to patients, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory conditions. The role emphasizes collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and includes responsibilities such as conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and educating patients on disease management and prevention.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in a related field required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pulmonary care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory conditions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide education on disease management and prevention.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
