About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to diagnose and treat dermatological conditions in an outpatient setting. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care for skin diseases, including immune-mediated and blistering conditions, psoriasis, eczema, drug reactions, and skin cancer. The APP will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient care, safety, research, and quality improvement while building an independent clinic within a collaborative academic practice.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification.
• Experience in dermatology as an Advanced Practice Provider.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to build an independent clinic within a collaborative academic practice.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Mohs micrographic surgery and treatment of complex skin cancers.
• Interest in research and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in the diagnosis and treatment of dermatologic conditions.
• Write accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and admission and transfer orders.
• Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and communicate findings appropriately.
• Perform procedures beyond core as identified by the Dermatology services.
• Facilitate communication with patients, families, and staff to promote continuity of care.
• Attend required training and meet key regulatory requirements, including those of the privileging institution, CMS, and the Joint Commission.
• Evaluate quality outcomes for patients receiving care from the team.
