About The Position

UPMC Hamot Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is seeking a Clinical Project Coordinator to join our exceptional team. This position is for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (CRNP or PA) looking to make a meaningful impact in cardiac care. The Clinical Project Director will serve as the special projects and activities supervisor for UPMC Office of Advanced Practice Providers, providing administrative oversight, clinical guidance, and support to the HVI program. The role involves collaboration with internal and external partners and the development of strategic direction for the overall program.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in business, nursing, healthcare management or related field.
  • CRNP or PA required.
  • 3 progressively increasing operational experience in a corporate/professional environment, preferably in hospital or internal medicine.
  • Strong process management, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated initiatives and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple priority standard lines concurrently.
  • Ability to perform planning for large initiatives/projects within budget and targeted deadlines.
  • Ability to function in a complex environment and must be flexible.
  • Strong computer skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in electrophysiology and/or cardiology.
  • Proficiency in interpreting cardiac testing results, EKG tracings, and cardiac rhythms.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Administrative and Medical Leadership in the development of the project strategy.
  • Develop methods to assist in tracking the status of projects.
  • Follow up with appropriate staff to ensure progress continues.
  • Identify barriers and work with department management staff to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate the planning, design, and implementation phases of HVI activities.
  • Coordinate all related CME activity.
  • Monitor timely completion of tasks and remind responsible parties of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with others to resolve issues and keep projects on task.
  • Identify linkages among departments, other facilities, and external groups to maximize opportunities.
  • Observe department functions, document processes, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with staff to evaluate workflows and develop written accountabilities.
  • Assist in the development of quality audit tools, measures, and reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs and tools.
  • Assist in the assessment of project success and help develop revised processes or policies.
  • Keep all team members, key departments, and management informed of project status.

  • Full-Time position with a salary range of $52.08-82.82 USD.
  • No weekends, no call, no inpatient duties.
  • 90% outpatient clinic, 10% hospital rounding.
