About The Position

STS Support Services, LLC (SSS) is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Fort Detrick, MD. This position supports U.S. Army Blast Injury Research Coordinating Office (BIRCO)/Joint Trauma Analysis and Prevention of Injury in Combat Program.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active SECRET Clearance prior to commencement of work. Interim SECRET Clearance are acceptable.
  • H.S. Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of recent relevant administrative support experience.
  • Experience supporting federal or military personnel is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Office Management and Software Tools.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a receptionist for the BIRCO to include answering the phone and escorting visitors.
  • Prepare travel order requests and other travel documentation for CONUS and OCONUS travel by Government staff and for invitational travel orders according to DoD, Army, and USAMRDC policies.
  • Track and monitor pre-travel requirements, and keep traveler informed of travel document status.
  • Assist in the preparation of final trip reports and travel expenses for reimbursement.
  • Maintain BIRCO personnel training records in the U.S. Army Digital Training Management System (DTMS).
  • Notify staff of upcoming BIRCO required training to ensure compliance with Ft. Detrick mandatory training requirements.
  • Prepare USAMRDC required infrastructure reports including monthly space management and wireless billing reports.
  • Serve as the alternate Records Coordinator and complete the Office Records Listing in Army Records Information Management System Office Account Information.
  • Prepare documents in accordance with Army Regulation 25-50, including Department of the Army memorandums, letters, executive summaries, information papers, and staffing of correspondence.
  • Maintain calendars for Government staff using Microsoft Outlook to schedule multi-person meetings and manage multiple Outlook Calendars.
  • Alert staff to impending meetings, appointments, and de-conflict meetings and other events.
