About The Position

The position involves maintaining a high level of customer service for the Mental Health Services Department, ensuring that all duties are performed with a strong focus on customer and community needs. The role requires responding to inquiries with accurate and culturally responsive information, performing various administrative tasks, and providing support to the department's Director and staff. Responsibilities include managing correspondence, greeting visitors, handling incoming calls, and facilitating the procurement and inventory of supplies. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 or more years of direct experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete assignments with minimum direction and supervision.
  • Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, communication, customer service, supervision, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and graphic applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of district personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a high level of customer service for the Mental Health Services Department.
  • Responds to inquiries by disseminating information in an accurate, knowledgeable, efficient, and culturally responsive manner.
  • Performs administrative duties including processing routine correspondence, greeting visitors, and typing documents and correspondence for the department.
  • Answers incoming calls, takes reliable messages, and routes to appropriate staff.
  • Provides administrative support to the Director and staff.
  • Generates requisitions for supplies as needed.
  • Facilitates the procurement, inventory, storage, and delivery of supplies and equipment for the department.
  • Participates in short and long-range planning of the department as directed by the department leader.
  • Collaborates with Budget Specialist to track departmental expenditures.
  • Develops and maintains spreadsheets, databases, graphic, and project management application files for the department.
  • Provides regular feedback to supervisor regarding the status of projects or issues.
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
