About The Position

The Administrative Office Coordinator / MA (Medical Assistant) / Wound Care Tech plays a crucial role in managing front office functions at an outpatient wound care center. This position combines administrative and clinical responsibilities to enhance workflow and ensure exceptional patient care. The individual will assist in various tasks including data reporting, taking vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and performing basic wound care procedures under the supervision of licensed staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Six or more months of related experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Two or more years of office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Wound care experience preferred.
  • Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a nursing assistant or medical assistant is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front office functions of the outpatient wound care center.
  • Perform general office and clinical duties to assist the staff.
  • Gather and report data related to patient care.
  • Take and record vital signs of patients.
  • Clean and restock treatment rooms as needed.
  • Remove wound care dressings and perform basic wound cleansing.
  • Assist in preparing patients for clinical evaluation by licensed staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
