About The Position

Widener University is seeking adjunct faculty for the School of Law at the Harrisburg Campus. The adjunct faculty will be responsible for organizing the course, which includes selecting teaching materials and preparing a course syllabus. They will plan and present assigned material during the regularly scheduled course hours and engage students both in and out of the classroom to ensure effective learning. Establishing rigorous assessment standards and communicating these standards and learning outcomes to students is essential. Adjunct faculty will also be responsible for grading examinations and papers in accordance with the law school's Grade Normalization Policy and submitting grades in a timely manner. Availability to students outside of classroom hours is expected, which can be facilitated through in-person meetings, telephone, email, or video conferencing.

Requirements

• J.D. or other comparable terminal degree
• Relevant legal experience
• Previous teaching experience
• Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling
