About The Position

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Music or qualified experience in the content area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with advanced students or at the college level.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and PC proficiency.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct undergraduate students in MUS173: Private Bassoon Lessons.
  • Develop written syllabi and required course materials.
  • Maintain student records and grade student progress.
  • Advise and assist students on their progress in applied lessons learning outcomes.
  • Participate in the student assessment process for juries and recitals.
  • Work collaboratively with accompanists, department faculty, and chair of the department.
  • Attend department juries, recitals, and other university events as required.
  • Provide sample lessons to prospective students.
